Publication of Articles in the Journal "Current Problems of Sustainable Development"

Publication Schedule

1. Manuscript Submission. Manuscripts should be submitted to the Editorial Board by e-mail in *.doc (*.docx) format to: info@csr.com.ua. Upon receipt, the Editorial Office evaluates the manuscript for compliance with the journal’s requirements and sends it for peer review.

2. Peer Review. Manuscripts undergo scientific peer review in accordance with the Peer Review Policy. Following the review process, the author receives a decision that may include acceptance, requests for revision, or rejection of the manuscript. Please also check your spam folder.

3. Publication. Publication of an article on the journal’s website is carried out after the successful completion of all stages of the editorial process, including plagiarism screening, editorial review, independent peer review, editorial acceptance, and fulfillment of the journal’s publication requirements by the author(s). The article is published on the journal’s website within no more than 20 working days following the completion of these procedures.

A publication fee is charged only if the manuscript successfully completes all stages of the editorial process, including plagiarism screening, editorial review, independent peer review, and receives a positive editorial decision recommending publication.

In such cases, the publication fee is:

 • UAH 1,900 (for manuscripts of up to 15 pages, inclusive). Each additional page is charged separately at UAH 40 per page. This publication fee applies to authors affiliated with Ukrainian higher education institutions and/or research organizations. — for authors affiliated with Ukrainian higher education institutions and/or research organizations;

USD 200.00 — for authors who are not affiliated with Ukrainian higher education institutions and/or research organizations.

The Editorial Board provides free publication of single-authored articles submitted by PhD candidates enrolled in state-funded doctoral programmes, regardless of their institution, provided that the submitted manuscript complies with the journal’s requirements, principles of academic integrity, and successfully passes the peer-review process. Together with the manuscript, PhD candidates studying under state-funded programmes must submit an official certificate issued by the doctoral studies office confirming their status. The certificate must be duly signed and certified by the relevant institutional unit.

Publication Fee Policy

The journal Current Problems of Sustainable Development adheres to the principles of Open Science and provides immediate open access to all published content.

All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) 4.0 licence, ensuring unrestricted access to scientific materials.

The journal operates under the Gold Open Access model, whereby the full texts of all articles are freely available for reading, downloading, copying, distributing, and reusing, provided that proper attribution is given.

Free access to the journal’s content is supported through an Article Processing Charge (APC), which may be paid by the author, the author’s institution, or a third party funding the research.

1. General Principles

The journal follows the recommendations of the Fair Open Access Alliance regarding transparent publication fee structures and takes into account Principle 5 of Plan S.

The APC is used exclusively to cover costs associated with editorial preparation and technical publication support, including manuscript processing, copyediting, typesetting, administration of the editorial management system, DOI registration, website maintenance, and long-term archiving.

Payment of the APC does not influence editorial decisions. All manuscripts undergo independent peer review, and publication decisions are made solely on the basis of scientific quality and relevance to the journal’s scope.

2. Payment Procedure

Manuscript submission and peer review are free of charge.

The APC is payable only after the article has been accepted for publication.

Payment instructions are sent to the author after a positive publication decision has been made.

After payment, the author is requested to send a copy of the payment receipt to the Editorial Office.

3. Refund Policy

Refunds may be granted only in exceptional circumstances that make publication impossible after completion of the editorial process. Publication fees are not refundable in cases of manuscript withdrawal by the authors, retraction or correction of an article by the Editorial Board, force majeure circumstances, or other situations beyond the journal’s control.
