Abstract

The topicality of the research is explained by the fact that the country experienced the rapid growth of the influence of the crisis on the agricultural sector that disclosed the structural weakness of the  traditional management approaches. The purpose of the article is to prove management mechanisms that can guarantee the flexibility and sustainability of agricultural businesses in a multidimensional risk environment. The methodological ground is the systematization and study of scientific sources, comparative evaluation of management practices, aspects of a risk-oriented approach and structural-functional approach to the description of the relations between management tools. Due to the research, it was discovered that crises do not only interrupt the indicators of the economy, but also the basis of the inner logic of management, alters the structure of decision-making in the strategic, operational and financial circles. Three categories of mechanisms that determine the flexibility of the enterprises are identified: strategic (scenario planning, risk maps), operational-tactical (decentralization, multi-channel logistics, digital monitoring) and financial-stabilization (income diversification, liquidity  management, insurance).

It is concluded that they are selective and can be effective depending on the nature of a crisis situation that the enterprise is being engaged in. The conceptual model generalized is offered that demonstrates the dependence between the blocks of management and their influence on the stability of the system. Also, it was established that businesses that integrate both strategic and operational processes with digital analytics are more resilient to the environment of logistical and financial shocks. The practical value of the results achieved is based on the fact that it is possible to implement the proposed model as the instrument of organizing the management decision, rationalizing the risk procedures and schedule of the actions in the situations of the activities of the agricultural enterprises of a situation of persistent uncertainty.
