LONGEVITY CONOMICS IN THE CONTEXT OF ENTROPIC DEVELOPMENT: INDEX ASSESSMENT OF COUNTRIES’ READINESS AND INNOVATIVE LABOR LIFE- CYCLE MODELS

The article provides a comprehensive study of the process of global population aging and its transformational impact on the architecture of the modern economy through the prism of entropy-based analysis of the longevity economy. Global aging is interpreted as a source of increasing socio-economic entropy, whereas index-based assessments of countries’ readiness and the implementation of innovative labor cycle models are considered effective mechanisms for its structural reduction. The concept of the “longevity economy” is theoretically substantiated, within which longevity is defined as a strategic innovative resource for economic development and a mechanism for rethinking life and labor cycles.
Based on a comparative analysis of international indices (Silver Economy Index, Global Longevity Index, Global AgeWatch Index, GAP Index, GASI, and the Active Ageing Index), a global map of countries’ readiness for demographic aging is constructed, and the strategic vectors of the UN Decade of Healthy Aging (2021–2030), as well as the role of international initiatives in promoting age inclusiveness, are examined. The study also explores contemporary conceptual approaches to human life and career cycles, including the “New Map of Life,” the “100-Year Life” model, the concept of the “Second Half of Life,” the Japanese concept of ikigai, and the evolution of career models from Career 1.0 to Career 3.0 in the context of labor market transformation.
The findings form a theoretical and methodological foundation for advancing the scientific paradigm of the longevity economy and for developing conceptual principles aimed at adapting national labor markets to long-term demographic changes. Practical initiatives implemented in Ukraine and worldwide confirm that systematic support for older people enhances their social integration and economic activity, positioning the longevity economy as a key instrument for sustainable development.
