PROSPECTIVE DIRECTIONS FOR IMPROVING ACTIVITIES IN THE SPHERE OF DEVELOPMENT BASED ON DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Abstract

Development is a type of activity associated with a multi-stage process of initiation, development and implementation of development projects. In the economy, this type of activity has a positive impact on infrastructure renewal, creation of new jobs, and attraction of investment resources. It has been proven that development activity, on the one hand, plays a significant role in the economy, and on the other hand, is subject to the influence of a number of destabilizing factors of a military-political and socio-economic nature.  It has been established that digital transformation is a process, the deployment of which affects all spheres of the economy, including the sphere of development. The article aims to identify the most promising areas of improvement of business processes in the sphere of development based on digital transformation and to substantiate the importance of their implementation, taking into account the impact of destabilizing factors on the sphere of development and the construction industry. The method of dynamic series analysis using indices was used to determine the trends in changes in one of the general economic markers of development activity - the volume of construction products. Methods of analytical comparison, decomposition and systematization were applied to determine the directions of improvement of development activity based on digital transformation. It was determined that one of the main indicators characterizing development is the volume of construction products. The construction products index for 2020-2025 was analyzed and it was established that construction in Ukraine was significantly affected by the negative impact of military operations, in particular, due to the reduction and change in the structure of demand, destruction or forced relocation, disruption of logistics, the formation of a shortage of materials and human resources. The urgent need for development companies to find ways to improve their activities is justified. It was established that the search for ways to improve development activities may be associated with the implementation of digitalization achievements. The most promising areas of digital transformation in the development sector are analyzed. Prospects for further research related to the development of methodological recommendations for assessing the feasibility of introducing digital technologies into the activities of a development company and its readiness for such implementation are outlined.
