The procedure for submitting publications

The editorial board of the journal "Modern Humanitarian Discussions" accepts original articles on fundamental issues of the following areas:

Knowledge: A Education:

A1 Educational Sciences;
A5 Vocational education (by specialization);
A7 Physical culture and Sports.

Field of knowledge: C Culture, Arts and Humanities:

В9 History and Archeology;
В11 Philology (by specialization).

Field of knowledge: C Social sciences, Journalism and Information:

С2 Political science;
C4 Psychology

The manuscript is submitted to the editorial board in Ukrainian or English. The number of authors of one article should not exceed 5 people. After submitting the manuscript to the journal, it is not allowed to make changes to the authors of the article.

Articles should be sent to the editorial board in *.doc (*.docx) format by e-mail: info@csr.com.ua. The author (or one of the co-authors) must fill out an information questionnaire.

The date of receipt of the manuscript is the date of its receipt by the editorial office. In case of receipt of a manuscript that does not comply with the rules, the editorial board reserves the right not to consider such material and will inform the authors.

Figures and tables
They should be presented in the article immediately after the text where they are mentioned for the first time or on the next page.
Requirements for material presented in tables: the table has a serial number, right-alignment, font size - 12 points (e.g., Table 1) and a title (printed above the table in the middle, font size - 12 points), the text of the table is in Times New Roman font, font size - 10, interval 1).
The figure should be a single graphic object (i.e., grouped).
Illustrations should also be numbered and have names that are indicated outside the grouped graphic object (for example, Figure 1. Dynamics of the number of higher education institutions in Ukraine). Format of tables and figures: book format.
After tables and figures, indicate the source, font size - 12 points, italics, center alignment. For tables: Source: [1, p. 34]; Source: compiled by the author(s); Source: compiled by the author(s) on the basis of [2, p. 45; 3, p. 76], etc. For figures: Source: [1, p. 34]; Source: compiled by the author(s); Source: compiled by the author(s) based on [2, p. 45; 3, p. 76], etc.
Formulas

Must be typed using the formula editor (the internal formula editor in Microsoft Word for Windows).

References to the literature

References to the literature in the text should be given in square brackets, for example, [3, p. 35; 8, p. 56-59], in which the first digit indicates the serial number of the source in the list of references, and the second - the corresponding page in this source; one source (with a page) is separated from another by a semicolon, the bibliography is given at the end of the text of the article (near each source containing a reference, the date of access to the resource should be indicated in the format: date of access: 11.06.2023).

Article length

 from 10 to 35 pages.

Structural elements of the article

1. The specialty in which the article is submitted (upper right corner of the page, Times New Roman (Cyr) font, font size 14).

2. UDC index (upper left corner of the page, Times New Roman font, font size 14).

3. Information about the authors (one line after the UDC, left corner of the page, Times New Roman font, font size 14, interval - single):

- in Ukrainian, the name of the first author in bold; in the next line in regular font - academic degree (write in full), academic rank, position; in the next line - place of work (full official name of the educational institution or institution), country.

- in English on a new line: surname and first name of the first author in bold; on the next line - academic degree, academic rank, position in regular font; on the next line - place of work (full official name of the educational institution or institution), city, country;

- in the next line - ORCID (for example, ORCID: 0000-0001-0067-9876). You can create an ORCID on the official website https://orcid.org/.

If there are two or more authors, the above information should be filled in for each author in Ukrainian and English. For articles published in English, information about the author(s) is given first in English, then in Ukrainian.

4. The title of the article, abstract and keywords in two languages (Ukrainian and English, respectively).

Article title: centered, Times New Roman (Cyr) font, font size 14, bold, all caps, up to ten words.

Abstract:

  • in case of writing an article in Ukrainian: the abstract in Ukrainian is given in italics one line after the title of the article. The volume of the abstract: 800-1500 characters. The next line should contain keywords (4-7 units), font size 14, italics. Single-spaced: the title of the article in English in the center of the page, Times New Roman (Cyr) font, font size 14, bold, all capital letters. Through the line: extended abstract in English (Abstract), in italics. The length of the abstract is not less than 1800 characters. The next line should contain the keywords (Keywords): font size 14, italics;
  • in case of writing an article in English: the abstract in English (Abstract) is given in italics one line after the title of the article. The volume of the abstract: 800-1500 characters. The next line should contain the keywords (Keywords): 4-7 units, font size 14, italics. Single-spaced: the title of the article in Ukrainian in the center of the page, Times New Roman (Cyr) font, font size 14, bold, all capital letters. Single-spaced: extended abstract in Ukrainian, italicized. The length of the abstract is not less than 1800 characters. The next line should contain keywords (4-7 units), font size 14, italics. Key words in English should be the most accurate translation of the Ukrainian-language ones and should be reproduced in the same sequence.

The number of keywords in the list should be the same in the Ukrainian and English abstracts (unless grammatical features of the language require otherwise). Keywords should not duplicate the title of the article.

5. The text of the article (in Ukrainian or English). The article should contain the following elements (with emphasis in the text):

  • Formulation of the problem (for the article in Ukrainian: Постановка проблеми): determination of the essence and relevance of the problem, how its solution is related to scientific or practical tasks in general, and its connection with important scientific or practical tasks;
  • Analysis of recent research and publications (for the article in Ukrainian: Аналіз останніх досліджень і публікацій) that initiated the solution of the problem and on which the author relies, highlighting previously unresolved parts of the general problem to which the article is devoted (references to the sources of literature are required);
  • The purposes of the article (for the article in Ukrainian: Мета статті);
  • The main material presentation (for the article in Ukrainian: Виклад основного матеріалу) with full justification of the scientific results obtained;
  • Conclusions (for the article in Ukrainian: Висновки) from this study and further prospects in this area;
  • References (for the article in Ukrainian: Література та References): are given at the end of the article:
    1. Literature (organized according to the requirements of the National Standard of Ukraine "Information and Documentation. Bibliographic references. General Provisions and Rules of Compilation" DSTU 8302:2015: (example of formatting).
    2. References - a list of references in the Roman alphabet (repeating in the same order all sources of literature, regardless of whether there are foreign ones among them).

Rules for citing References

1. The list of references should contain at least 10 items.

2. The references should be listed in the order of their mention in the article.

3. It is recommended to include new sources (for the last 5 years) in the list of references.

4. Each source from the list of references should have at least one reference in the text of the article.

5. References to the authors' own scientific works (self-citation) are allowed, but should not exceed 10% of the total number of sources from the list of references.

6. References to textbooks and popular science literature are undesirable.

7. Secondary citation is not allowed. If the text contains a quote from Adam Smith, the reference should be to Smith, not to the author who read Smith.

8. References to scholars from the aggressor state and literary sources in Russian are not allowed.
